The Brief

The brief was to create a compact, low-maintenance patio for outdoor seating. The space needed to feel warm, natural, and in keeping with the garden. Indian sandstone was chosen for its timeless charm and varied tones. We also agreed to install wooden sleepers to add structure and definition.
Our Approach

The area was carefully cleared and prepared with a solid, compacted sub-base. We laid the Indian sandstone paving in a simple yet elegant pattern. Each stone was selected to highlight the natural variation in colour and texture. A neutral pointing compound was used to complement the stone’s warm tones. The wooden sleepers were installed around the garden to add height and contrast. They help define the space and provide a rustic, natural edge to the design.
